ビートルズ・リマスター盤が発売されて、あちこちで話題になっていますが、ファン、というかマニアの間で話題になっているのが、ステレオミックスとモノラルミックスとの違い。今回のリマスター盤が発売されて明らかになったものではないのですが、以前はモノラル盤がＣＤ化されておらず、入手しにくかったために、その違いに気が付いていないファンは多かったと思います。私もその１人です。
最も顕著な違いがわかる曲の１つ、アルバム『Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band』に収録されている「Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band Reprise」。
こちらがステレオ・バージョン。
で、これがモノラル・バージョン。
ボーカルの感じが違うし、歓声が全面に入っているし、終わりの部分でポールのなんて言っているか分からないシャウトが入っているし、随分違いますね。
で、この日記はここでは終わらなくて、ポールが1989～90年のツアーで演奏していたバージョンを聴いてほしいのです。
後半に、repriseのバージョンをコピーしていますが、終わりの部分、なんと、ポール・マッカートニーは、モノラルバージョンにしか入っていない何と言っているか分からないシャウトまで完コピしているではないか！ こんなことに気づいて嬉しくなるのがマニアなんです・・・

Nice Info! But I'm having some trouble trying to load your blog. I have read it many times before and never gotten something like this, but now when I try to load something it just takes a little while (5-10 minutes ) and then just stops. I hope i don't have a virus or something. Does anyone know what the issue could be?
